SMS Program Terms & Conditions – Batista Notary Services

Effective September 28, 2026. These terms apply to the Batista Notary Services LLC notary assignment text message program (the "SMS Program").

1. Program description

The SMS Program sends signing assignment availability requests, assignment status updates, and related confirmations to notaries and signing agents in the Batista Notary Services contractor network. Recipients may reply YES or NO to indicate availability. Messages are informational and transactional; they are not marketing.

2. How to opt in

You opt in by texting START to (757) 337-1998. You will receive a confirmation message. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of working with Batista Notary Services.

3. Message frequency

Message frequency varies based on the number of assignments available in your area.

4. Cost

Msg & data rates may apply. Check with your mobile carrier for details about your plan. Batista Notary Services does not charge for the SMS Program.

5. How to opt out

Reply STOP to (757) 337-1998 at any time to cancel. You will receive one final message confirming you have been unsubscribed, and no further messages will be sent. You may also reply STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, or QUIT. To rejoin, reply START.

7. Carrier liability

Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Message delivery is subject to effective transmission from your wireless carrier.

8. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and the account holder, or have the account holder's permission, for the mobile number you enroll.

9. Privacy

We use your mobile number only to operate the SMS Program and to coordinate notary assignments. We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile number or text-message opt-in data and consent with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information may be shared only with service providers that help us deliver messages (such as our SMS provider), and only for that purpose.

10. Changes

We may update these terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page. Continued participation after changes are posted means you accept the updated terms.
